The Safety Specialist is responsible for supporting various safety measures that follow company protocol, as well as state and federal laws.
General Responsibilities
* Ensures compliance with standard operating procedures, regulatory safety in compliance with national and international regulations and regional regulations for the reporting of adverse events to regulatory agencies
* Participates in the development and preparation of reports for company management as well as external regulatory agencies
* Assists in the preparation of new product application safety updates, investigational new product safety reports, investigator communications, product labeling/package inserts and other reports as necessary
* Coordinates the maintenance of records on lost time accidents and prepares appropriate reports
* May implement hazardous waste control and disposal activities including training, collection, disposal, and records maintenance, as well as conservation programs within the organization
Experience / Qualifications
* A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
* Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
* Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
* Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
* Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
* Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standard
* Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
* Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
Relevant Qualifications Or Experience In ESH Field, NEBOSH Qualified.
