Bookkeeper – Temporary Contract Contract: 3–6 months (Immediate start) Start date: ASAP Working pattern: Full-time, Hybrid (2 days in the office) Location: Edinburgh East Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience iMultiply is currently supporting an exciting business and we are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to provide essential support during a period of transition. This role is key to maintaining accurate financial records, managing cash flow, and ensuring smooth month-end processes. Key Responsibilities Accounts Management Maintain accurate sales and purchase ledgers (debtors and creditors). Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring timely payments and receipts. Reconcile bank accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly. Reporting & Data Consolidation Use Excel to consolidate data from multiple sources and prepare clear reports. Provide weekly financial updates on cash position, outstanding invoices, and key variances. Month-End Support Assist with trial balance preparation, reconciliations, and posting journals. Support P&L reporting and ensure accuracy of financial statements. Process & Compliance Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for all transactions. Identify and implement process improvements where possible. Skills required Proven experience as a bookkeeper or similar finance role. Strong understanding of debtors/creditors and their impact on cash flow. High proficiency in Excel (lookups, pivots, formulas). Ability to interpret financial data accurately and communicate clearly. Experience supporting month-end processes Familiarity with accounting systems (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks) is a plus.
