Horticulture Assistant (Seasonal)
This is a 6 month fixed term position (March - August). However if the right candidate is found we will be open to offering a permanent position.
Job role : Horticultural Assistant (Seasonal)
We are looking for a self motivated individual to join our exciting fast paced Outdoor Team.
Must have previous retail and customer service experience in a front facing role
Horticultural knowledge an advantage, but willingness to learn is essential.
Able to work well effectively within a team and efficiently on their own
Physically fit - this is a manual role involving lifting, moving heavy items and working in all weathers.
Essential Skills:
· Horticulture knowledge and background is desirable.
· Clean driving licence with ability to drive 3.5 tonne vans.
· An individual who can manage lifting and carrying as the role can be physically demanding.
· Great Communication skills.
· Work unsupervised and as part of a team on daily duties.
· Hard working person who can multitask with a can-do approach to work.
· Great customer service who will go the extra mile.
Preferred Skills:
· Experience working in a retail environment.
· Good knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety
· Keen to learn and progress through the company.
Responsible to: Plant Area Supervisor / Site Manager
Hours of work: 42.5 hours per week, Working Tuesday - Saturday (Days off Sunday & Monday)
Salary: Dependant on experience.
