Fixed term / Secondment to 21/09/2026 (maternity cover)
This is an innovative collaborative post between the Pharmacy Department, Raigmore Hospital, and the Highland and Islands Pharmacy Education and Research (HIPER). We are looking for enthusiastic, caring, and motivated pharmacists interested in designing, developing, and delivering Education and Training in acute care. The role will be split 0.4WTE Education & Training / 0.6WTE Clinical.
Within the post, you will have the opportunity to:
* Lead the development and delivery of foundation and post-registration foundation training programs for pharmacists across secondary care sites in the Highlands and Islands, primarily based at Raigmore Hospital.
* Lead the development, coordination, and delivery of the educational governance agenda for these programs across the HIPER area, including NHS Highland, NHS Orkney, NHS Shetland, and NHS Western Isles.
* Provide advanced clinical pharmacy services to a patient group within either the Medical or Surgical team at Raigmore Hospital, with flexibility depending on your clinical experience and skills.
You should have completed foundation training / VTE2 in a hospital setting, with significant clinical experience working at an Advanced Level as a prescriber (including formal postgraduate qualification in clinical pharmacy or equivalent). Experience and enthusiasm for teaching are essential.
You should be an excellent communicator capable of building good relationships and working collaboratively through challenges.
You will be required to participate in an on-call rota (currently 1 in 25), with occasional weekend work and public holidays.
