Salary: GBP30,000 to GBP33,000 per annum
Recruitable Staffing Solutions is delighted to be recruiting for a Mechanical Assembly Technician on behalf of our client, a leading UK-based manufacturer. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company renowned for its engineering expertise and innovation, with over 40 years of industry experience.
Role Overview
As a Mechanical Assembly Technician, you ll play a key role in assembling, modifying, and fitting mechanical components and systems. Working as part of a collaborative team, you ll ensure all products meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Assemble mechanical systems and components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
* Follow detailed assembly instructions and processes to maintain product quality.
* Inspect and test assemblies to ensure compliance with performance and quality standards.
* Identify and report any issues or discrepancies during the assembly process.
* Carry out troubleshooting, rework, and repair tasks when required.
* Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
* Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies; participate in safety training and audits.
* Document assembly procedures and update records as needed.
* Suggest improvements and corrective actions for continuous process optimisation.
Key Competencies and Experience Essential:
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
* Hands-on experience in at least one of the following:
o Mechanical assembly
o Troubleshooting and repair of mechanical systems
o Working with diesel engines or transmissions
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
* Effective communication and teamwork skills.
* Experience with standard measuring instruments, hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment.
Desirable:
* Certification for operating cherry pickers and forklifts.
* Familiarity with Occupational Health and Safety practices.
* Experience working to quality and production standards.
