About the Opportunity
For our team in Stockton we are seeking an experienced Civil, Structural & Architectural Project Engineer.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Technical quality and excellence of your work and the work of those working under you to ensure engineering delivery meets scope, time, cost and quality
2. Project planning, delivery and financial performance of your work and that of junior staff
3. Communication with clients and other design team members to provide technical input and justification
4. Technical and professional guidance, support and development of more junior designers
5. Responsible for the development and delivery of design documents and solutions
6. Chair and facilitate technical and non-technical meetings including progress meetings and design reviews
7. Independent and autonomous work during the delivery of complex engineering activities
8. Be fully conversant with business and quality management systems and actively encourage compliance within team.
9. Co-ordinate & supervise surveys (condition, measurement etc) & assessments
Requirements:
10. HNC qualified in Civil/Structural engineering or demonstrable equivalent underpinning knowledge and understanding
11. Extensive experience in a civil and structural design role having direct influence over design practices and outcomes
12. Proven ability to Lead projects of varying size and complexity, managing technical aspects as well as quality, budget, programme and resources
13. Expert in the use of the latest version of AutoCAD, Revit and associated software, with the ability to work unsupervised
14. Significant knowledge and understanding of British Standards and CDM regs
15. Significant experience in detailing of reinforced concrete and structural steelwork
16. Ability to work effectively as a team member liaising directly with clients and other cross discipline design team members
17. Awareness of applicable codes and safety legislation and how they should be applied
18. Excellent verbal and written communication, and report writing skills
19. Ability to achieve P4 pass holder status and a minimum of SC clearance is essential
