Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Joiners to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and experience with various construction tasks. This role requires proficiency in using both hand and power tools, as well as the ability to perform heavy lifting and work effectively in a team environment. The Joiner will be responsible for assembling and fabricating structures, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
* Assemble and fabricate wooden structures, including frames, doors, windows, and furniture.
* Use power tools and hand tools to cut, shape, and join materials accurately.
* Ensure all work is plumb and level, adhering to design specifications.
* Perform heavy lifting as required while maintaining safety protocols.
* Collaborate with other tradespeople, including electricians and masons, to complete projects efficiently.
* Conduct repairs and maintenance on existing structures as needed.
* Follow health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment.
* Keep work areas clean and organised throughout the duration of projects.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Joiner or Carpenter with a solid understanding of construction principles.
* Proficiency in using various power tools and hand tools effectively.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with construction work.
* Experience in masonry or electrical work is advantageous but not essential.
* Strong attention to detail with an ability to read technical drawings and plans accurately.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* A valid driver's licence may be required for travel between job sites.
