Job Description
Care Operations Manager (Registered Manager)
Location: Based in Frodsham office - 3 sites across Cheshire
Hours: Monday to Friday, finish 5pm
Basic Salary: £50,000 to £60,000
Full-Time | Permanent | Private Home Care Provider
We're recruiting for a senior Care Operations Manager / Registered Manager to take full operational ownership of three local home care sites, acting as the day-to-day lead when the business owner is off-site.
This is a hands-on, commercially aware leadership role for someone who can run the operation end-to-end: people, rotas, capacity, compliance, quality, and performance. You'll have genuine autonomy to make decisions, solve problems quickly, and keep standards consistently high across all sites.
The Role
As Care Operations Manager (Registered Manager), you will:
* Be the operational lead across three sites, ensuring smooth day-to-day delivery
* Act as Registered Manager for regulated activity (CQC) and lead inspection readiness
* Own rota, scheduling and capacity planning, ensuring the right care at the right time
* Drive staffing performance: recruitment pipeline, onboarding, retention, supervision and culture
* Ensure strong quality systems: audits, spot checks, call monitoring, care plans, risk and medication processes
* Lead on safeguarding, incidents, complaints and all required notifications
* Manage and improve KPIs (compliance, continuity, missed calls, punctuality, capacity, customer feedback)
* Work closely with the owner on commercial performance, efficiency and growth, including improving productivity
* Build strong relationships with clients, families, professionals and stakeholders to protect reputation and service quality
Who This Suits
You'll likely be a current or recent:
* Registered Manager (Domiciliary Care) with strong operational control
* Branch Manager / Operations Manager within home care
* Peripatetic / Multi-site Manager with a track record of stabilising and improving services
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience in domiciliary care operations (multi-site exposure is highly desirable)
* Confident managing rotas/scheduling, capacity, and day-to-day problem solving
* Strong working knowledge of CQC regulations and the Fundamental Standards
* A leadership style that is visible, organised and decisive
* Commercial awareness and ability to balance quality with performance
* Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or working towards)
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Why This Role?
* A rare chance to be the operational number two in a growing business
* High autonomy and trust - you'll run the sites, not just 'manage compliance'
* Monday to Friday structure with a clear focus on operational control and service standards
* Real scope to improve performance and shape how the services are run
