The Position
We have a fantastic opportunity at our Maidstone Campus for an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join the team on a full time (37.5 hours per week), term time only, permanent basis.
Skills & Experience
* Have recent experience as a Learning Support Assistant or a similar role or have a relevant life-experience and passion for working with students.
* Ideally have knowledge of EYFS, the National curriculum for KS1, KS2 and additional support needs.
* Have experience of working with children/ young people of relevant age in a learning environment or relevant work experience with transferrable skills.
* Have good communication skills written and verbal.
* Set an example of positive personal integrity and professionalism, with positive, appropriate and effective communications and relationships at all levels.
* Ensure high standards are maintained, progressed and promoted in all areas of work.
Key responsibilities:
* To support learning and teaching across the curriculum, particularly for a pupil with additional support needs in our primary school.
* To complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for joint-planning with teachers, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals / groups or short term for whole classes across all year groups in the school
* Provide pupils with the level and type of support specified by the teacher or Learning Support Co-Ordinator.
* Provide learning support for pupils and teachers within a Self-Directed Learning philosophy.
* To work with pupils, understanding how to motivate and encourage them to achieve and develop through the development of their attributes, skills and knowledge.
* To build and maintain successful relationships with pupils, treat them consistently and be concerned for their development as learners, supporting them and responding to their individual needs.
* Monitor and evaluate pupil responses to learning activities through a range of assessment and monitoring strategies
* Provide objective and accurate feedback and reports as required on pupil achievement, progress and other matters, ensuring the availability of appropriate evidence.
* Contribute to, share in and promote the wider and longer-term vision of OneSchool Global UK
* Uphold and promulgate the OneSchool Global ethos within all areas of responsibility.
