A Bit About What You Will Do...
The Events Manager will lead by example to ensure seamless service of communication between client and hotel, managing the full event and ensuring an exemplary standard of service is provided according to guest requirements and Hotel standards.
* Lead the organisation and coordination of events, ensuring all staffing, logistics, and operational needs are planned and covered, including staff briefings and monthly rota planning.
* Represent the department in pre-conference and operational meetings, sharing key event details and assigning responsibilities as needed.
* Greet and register conference organisers, acting as their primary point of contact and introducing the operational contact or shift manager where appropriate.
* Conduct regular check-ins with organisers throughout the day, obtaining feedback and adjusting operations accordingly.
* Ensure all client requests, including late bookings and additional services, are actioned quickly by the appropriate team members.
* Oversee event setup and dismantling, ensuring efficient turnover of spaces and proper coordination of all staff involved.
* Maintain high standards in all back-of-house areas, ensuring cleanliness, order, and timely ordering of equipment and supplies.
* Model exceptional guest service and professional appearance, ensuring all team members uphold hotel standards and safety procedures.
* Liaise with external suppliers and contractors (e.g. AV teams, exhibition builders, caterers) to coordinate services, ensuring all elements are aligned with client expectations.
* Delegate and oversee tasks across the events team, working closely with the Banqueting Team, M&E Porter Supervisor, and other departments to ensure all event requirements are delivered to standard.
