A successful, widely recognised Dungannon Constructionpany is working in partnership with Hays in their recruitment of a Senior Quantity Surveyor. Our client has been established within the construction industry for almost 30 years, delivering a wide range of construction projects from traditional block to more innovative options such as panelised construction. They specialise in off-site manufacturing facilities across the UK and Ireland, which enables them to deliver exceptional buildings within strict budgets and timeframes. This contractor has experienced an increase in workload recently, and such growth is still ongoing. Due to this exponential growth they now have a necessity to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to expand theirmercial team in Dungannon.
Your new role
Reporting to the Contracts Director, you will be responsible for themercial performance of a range of projects worth up to £6m across a wide range of sectors including: Health, Industrial & Technology, Education, Office and Residential. Working closely with the Operational Team you will ensure the project is delivered on programme and within budget. You will be predominately office-based, spending on average 2 days per month on site.
What you'll need to succeed
Due to the size and scale of my client’s current project portfolio, it is essential that the successful candidate will have previously worked for a main contractor andpleted a build project. You will be degree-qualified with a minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role. Strong negotiation skills and effective time management will be essential for the role.
