Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Engineer to support New Model Quality Assurance activities at a high-volume manufacturing site. The Quality Engineer will play a critical role in new model launches, supporting part and process development while ensuring all quality systems meet APQP, IATF 16949, and internal new product launch requirements.
The Quality Engineer will:
* Work across interior assembly and component manufacturing, collaborating closely with customers, suppliers, and internal project teams.
* This role offers the chance for a Quality Engineer to make a visible impact on product quality, process performance, and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing QA activities for new model launches
* Coordinating APQP documentation
* Supporting trial builds, and acting as a key quality liaison with customers and suppliers.
* The Quality Engineer will also support continuous improvement initiatives, quality reviews, metrology activities, and launch readiness planning.
Skills & Experience
To be successful as a Quality Engineer, you will ideally have:
* HNC or equivalent qualification in an engineering or quality discipline (or relevant experience)
* Proven experience in a similar role within automotive or high-volume manufacturing
* Strong knowledge of APQP, IATF 16949, and quality management systems
* Experience supporting new model launches and trial builds
* Good understanding of metrology, including CMM and gauge development
* Process auditing experience (IATF/ISO qualification desirable)
* Strong communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills
* Confident IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications
