About the Role
Reporting to the Store Manager, you will assist in managing all aspects of store operations, lead by example, and support in maintaining high store standards. You will work closely with your Store Manager and take charge in their absence, motivating your team to achieve excellent results. This role involves being hands-on on the shop floor, coaching, and inspiring your team.
Key Responsibilities
* Supportive Leadership: Assist in running the store with passion and teamwork.
* Fast-Paced Environment: Manage large volumes of stock and product efficiently.
* Standards & KPIs: Maintain excellent store standards and meet KPIs daily.
* Team Development: Develop and train your team to reach their potential.
* Retail Passion: Demonstrate enthusiasm for retail and apply commercial knowledge.
* Compliance: Support stocktakes, health & safety, and people processes.
Qualifications & Skills
* Management experience in a fast-paced retail environment.
* Experience leading medium to large teams.
* Proven track record of achieving KPIs.
* Flexibility to work various hours, including weekends and bank holidays.
* Experience in FMCG or big-box retail is advantageous but not essential.
