Job Title: Mast Mechanical Design Lead

Salary: Up to £70,000 depending on skills and experience
Introduction

Responsibilities
1. Apply extensive expertise in systems engineering, ISO 15288, and mechanical engineering to develop or resolve issues related to complex shipborne structures with integrated sensor configurations.
2. Provide technical and business leadership, potentially leading multiple engineering teams and managing associated costs.
3. Analyze, define, evaluate, plan, and deliver solutions aligned with program, business, and customer needs.
4. Interface with customers, suppliers, and other functions, acting as an engineering ambassador.
5. Support the development of engineering capabilities and monitor the professional growth of team members.
Qualifications and Skills
1. Expertise in Mechanical Engineering, particularly Structures and Finite Element Analysis (Static and Dynamic Shock and Vibration), or equivalent experience.
2. Ability to generate requirements and translate concepts into production-ready designs.
3. Proficiency with CAD, Mechanical Engineering Analysis, Modelling, and Simulation tools.
4. Experience leading large-scale, complex system designs.
5. Knowledge of the entire engineering lifecycle and familiarity with lifecycle models like Waterfall and Agile.
6. Higher education in a STEM discipline or equivalent experience.
7. Chartered Engineer status or working towards it.
