We are seeking a Specialist SpLD Teacher/Assessor to join a vibrant post 16 establishment in Hampshire, renowned for its outstanding Ofsted rating in every area. SpLD Teacher Assessor
* Annual Salary: £32,200 - £49,750 FTE
* Location: Hampshire
* Job Type: Part-time (2 days per week)
* Start: September 2025
Day-to-day of the role of an SpLD Teacher Assessor :
* Deliver specialised teaching and support to students with specific learning difficulties (SpLDs).
* Conduct assessments under JCQ regulations to identify student needs and tailor support accordingly.
* Collaborate with a team of dedicated professionals in the Study Support Department to enhance the learning experience of students.
* Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated with the latest educational practices and regulations related to SpLD.
* The specific working days and times will be discussed and agreed upon based on department needs and your availability.
Required Skills & Qualifications required for the SpLD Teacher Assessor Role :
* Must hold a teaching qualification, including a Level 5 SpLD teaching qualification.
* Possession of a current Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD) Assessment Practising Certificate or a post-graduate qualification (Level 7) in individual assessment is essential.
* Experience in teaching and assessing students with SpLDs in the post-16 sector is highly desirable.
* Strong commitment to professional development and a proactive approach to learning.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with both students and staff.
