In partnership with TowerView - a specialist healthcare group with deep experience in growing high-quality disability services - Fairways is preparing for thoughtful, sustainable expansion across Northern Ireland. They are now seeking a warm, strategic and values-led Chief Executive Officer, who will also act as Responsible Individual, to guide the organisation through its next phase of growth while preserving the ethos that has shaped Fairways since 1987. The Opportunity Reporting directly to the Chair of the Board, this is a high-impact leadership role with responsibility for quality, culture, strategic direction and organisational development. You will ensure Fairways continues to deliver safe, personalised and life-enhancing services while shaping and executing a development plan that extends the organisations reach across Northern Ireland. Balancing operational leadership with long-term strategy, you will steward the organisations legacy while building its future. What Youll Lead Quality, Safety & Compliance You will serve as Responsible Individual, holding legal and professional accountability for all Fairways services and safeguarding the organisations long-standing reputation for excellence. Your leadership will ensure every service delivers outstanding outcomes and consistently strong RQIA results. Working closely with the Board and TowerView, you will shape and deliver a measured, values-aligned growth plan as Fairways expands its disability services across Northern Ireland. You will ensure that every new service reflects the organisations ethos, safety standards and commitment to personalised support, while identifying opportunities for innovation, community impact and partnership working. Financial Leadership You will lead annual and strategic budgeting, overseeing day-to-day P&L performance and ensuring the organisation remains financially strong. Working closely with internal finance colleagues and external partners, you will support sustainable, responsible growth aligned to Fairways long-term goals. People, Culture & Leadership You will provide visible, values-led leadership to the Senior Team and the wider workforce, fostering a collaborative, inclusive and positive culture. You will develop a proactive recruitment strategy that supports both growth and service quality, while strengthening the organisations approach to professional development, wellbeing and retention ensuring staff feel supported, developed and proud to work here. Stakeholder & Community Engagement You will act as the face of Fairways with Trusts, regulators and community partners, building strong, trusted relationships with service users, families and the wider community. You will attend monthly Board meetings, providing clear, timely and evidence-based updates that support effective governance and decision-making. Who You Are You are an experienced senior leader from health & social care or another regulated, quality-driven sector, with the emotional intelligence and credibility to lead a values-based organisation. You will bring a blend of professional and sector expertise. You will likely have a recognised health & social care qualification or a relevant professional leadership qualification and significant senior leadership experience in a regulated, safety-critical or public-facing sector. You bring: You understand safeguarding, regulation and service quality, and you lead multidisciplinary teams with a balance of warmth, clarity and high expectations. You pair financial and commercial insight - including P&L responsibility - with a track record of guiding organisations through growth, change or service improvement. Above all, you build strong, trusted relationships with commissioners, regulators and partners.
