Part‑time Dental Nurse / Receptionist
The Independent Dental Practice in Middlesbrough is looking for a part‑time dental nurse and receptionist to join our supportive, highly skilled team and develop your career in dentistry.

What we look for in our Dental Nurses
* Valid dental nursing qualification (certificate or diploma)
* Registration with the General Dental Council (GDC)
* A positive, empathetic attitude and strong communication skills with patients and colleagues
* Integrity, enthusiasm, honesty, and a commitment to continuous learning
* Ability to work effectively in a team and maintain a positive workplace culture
* Experience in orthodontics is not required but a willingness to learn is valued
Key responsibilities
* Assist dentists during dental procedures to ensure smooth workflow
* Prepare and sterilise instruments, equipment, and treatment rooms
* Provide chair‑side support, handling instruments and materials during procedures
* Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date patient records
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and infection control protocols
* Collaborate with the team to create a welcoming environment for patients
* Assist with taking and developing dental X‑rays as required
* Participate in continuing education to stay current with latest dental techniques and technologies
* Fully support the team’s objectives and organisational goals
Qualifications
* GDC Registration – compulsory
* National certificate or NVQ Level 3 in dental nursing – essential
* 1‑year dental nursing experience – preferred
