Chef – Full-Time
Location: Nayland House Care Home, Colchester
Salary: £15 per hour
Shift Pattern - 4 days out of 7 - 7am to 5pm
We’re currently recruiting a dedicated and passionate Chef to join our team at Nayland House Care Home in Colchester. This is a full-time position contracted to 40 hours per week, working 4 days out of 7 (Monday to Sunday), with morning and weekend shifts required.
As a Chef, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality, nutritious meals that brighten the days of our residents. What you'll be doing:Preparing and serving delicious, high-quality meals that delight our residents
Leading and supporting menu planning and implementation
Listening to and acting on feedback to continually enhance our food offering
Creating new menus and contributing fresh food ideas
Maintaining a positive brand image and representing our values
Managing stock levels and kitchen inventories
Ensuring all hygiene and food safety standards are met
Overseeing kitchen cleanliness and ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations
What we’re looking for:A genuine passion for great food and excellent service
Experience in a similar Chef role
Strong leadership and team supervision skills
A valid Food Hygiene Certificate
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and early mornings
