Children’s Residential Support Worker
Location: Lancaster
Salary: £13.75 per hour

Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate Children’s Residential Support Worker to join a supportive residential setting in Lancaster. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals committed to supporting vulnerable children with SEN and SEMH needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day support, care and guidance to children and young people.
Promote a safe, nurturing and structured environment that encourages positive outcomes.
Support the development of life skills, independence and emotional well-being.
Work as part of a team to ensure individual care plans are implemented effectively.
Manage challenging behaviour professionally and in line with the home’s policies.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to reports and assessments.
Liaise with external professionals, families and education providers as required.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a residential or care setting is desirable.
A calm, empathetic and resilient approach to supporting children and young people.
Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
A valid UK driving licence is preferred but not essential.
A DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one through Teaching Personnel.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
