ROLE: Multi Skilled Engineer - HVAC Engineer Bias
HOURS: 40 Hours per week

At Mitie, our people are our greatest strength, and our promise is to create a place to work where you can thrive and be your best every day. We’re looking for a Multi Skilled Engineer with a HVAC bias who will provide and maintain a high level of building maintenance support to our clients.
Responsibilities
* Provide and maintain a high level of building maintenance support to clients.
* Work as part of a team of multi-skilled technical support staff ensuring services meet contractual requirements and comply with regulations and laws.
* Assist in supervising contractors and sub-contractors, ensuring compliance with all statutory obligations.
* Adopt a flexible, pro-active, and positive approach to work and working hours (subject to the EU Working Time Directive).
* Prioritise your own workload effectively while assisting other engineers/staff as required, maintaining awareness of the business continuity plan.
* Undertake all facets of maintenance and installation requirements within the scope of the contract, ensuring planned preventative maintenance activities are completed in line with contractual obligations.
* Maintain all assets in accordance with O&M Manuals and comply with all Health & Safety Legislation and Company Policy (fire regulations, COSHH, safe working practices, PPE, PAT testing, etc.).
* Ensure all HVAC assets are functional and operating within design parameters, completing reactive repairs within agreed response and rectification times.
* Ensure all reactive calls are closed out in line with contractual timescales.
* Anticipate, diagnose, and repair faults, accurately recording details on work sheets and computer-based systems.
* Complete any ad-hoc duties assigned.
* Ensure equipment, plant rooms and services are maintained in a clean, safe, and secure condition.
Qualifications
* Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent NVQ qualification in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning.
* Strong HVAC knowledge with commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
* Good understanding of current Health & Safety legislation and building statutory compliance, with the ability to apply this to the role.
* Ability to carry tools and equipment by hand up to 20kg, ascend/descend vertical access equipment, and work at heights.
* Availability to join a call-out rota.
* Full UK driving licence.
