Pharmacy Services Team Leader
Location: Cestrian CourtSalary: £35,000 per annumBonus: Approx. £4,300 annuallyHours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday–FridayWorking Pattern: 7.5 hours per day between 8am–7pm (non-shift)
About the Role
We’re seeking a proactive and detail-driven Pharmacy Services Team Leader to oversee operational activities within a busy Pharmacy Services department. You will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely completion of picking, dispensing, prescription processing and checking tasks that support homecare patients.
This position involves leading a skilled team, coordinating resources across different therapy areas, and ensuring gold-standard accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop a team of Dispensers, Apprentice Dispensers, and Accuracy Checking Technicians.
* Carry out dispensing and checking duties across multiple therapy areas, including Parenteral Nutrition, IVAB, CIVAs, Enteral, Methotrexate, POMs, and IVIGs.
* Formulate and check Parenteral Nutrition prescriptions in line with account requirements.
* Address formulation or stability queries and escalate appropriately.
* Collaborate closely with Pharmacists, Patient Services, Warehouse, and Production teams to ensure efficient workflow.
* Respond promptly to prescription processing and clinical governance queries.
* Contribute to clinical governance processes including complaints, deviations, CAPAs, and change controls.
* Produce and review SOPs and support ongoing staff training.

* Experience working in a pharmacy environment, ideally in a supervisory or checking capacity.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
* Understanding of clinical governance and patient confidentiality requirements.
