JobSummary
To support the Bid Team inall aspects of written documentation relevant to the tenderingprocess. Additionally the bid support will provide administrativesupport creative input and secretarial duties within theteam.
PrincipalResponsibilities
* Effectivelyworking within the bid team to successfully achieve company andindividual goals and objectives relating to the accurate and timelysubmission of tenders at the enquiry stage.
* Totake ownership of and undertake written responses for tenders PQQsRFQs and other bids/submissions for contracts.
* To manage the tenders inbox anddistribute/action as required.
* To complete BidReviews extracting key details from tender documents and collatingthem within a form for a streamline Bid/No Biddecision
* To maintain and control a Bid Libraryof organisation documents accreditations policies and proceduresthat are relevant to tendering. The Bid Library shall remaincurrent and up to date on an ongoingbasis.
* Ensure that the content of each tenderfulfills clients requirements and timescales.
* Maintain an uptodate knowledge of the businessand the services it offers to ensure that relevant and advantageousdetails are included in the bids.
* Coordinatewith other teams and individuals within the business to gain clientor regionspecific information to support the content of the bidwriting.
* Liaise with appropriate commercial andmobilisation team members to ensure the adequate handover ofdocumentation/information following the award ofcontracts.
* Attend progress meetings as requiredto review and report on the progress being made on the tenderreturn.
* Maintain posttender communicationswith sales & operations teams to evaluate the companysposition with each submission and to ensure continuous customersatisfaction.
* To effectively manage andcoordinate recording of bid submissions and documentation using thecompanies IT systems.
* To liaise with our groupCommercial Manager to assess tender risks i.e. payment terms bondstype of contract (NEC JCT etc).
* To discuss andobtain approval from Directors where terms are assessed as risk byour Commercial Manager.
* Maintain the highestlevels of commercial confidentiality in all aspects ofemployment.

Desirable:
* Previousexperience working within the Fire and Security industry.
* Knowledge of British Standards and Fire& Security legislation.
