Role:ElectricianLocation: RAF Croughton & RAF Barford St JohnsSalary: Up to £42,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday + 1 in 4 on-call rotaContract: Full-time, PermanentThe OpportunityWere looking for a skilled Electrician to join a high-performing team supporting critical infrastructure across two secure RAF sites. This is a varied, hands-on role where youll be responsible for keeping essential electrical systems running safely and efficiently across commercial and residential facilities.Youll play a key role in maintaining operational performance, working both independently and as part of a wider team, with opportunities to develop your skills in a structured and professional environment.Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across a range of electrical systems
* Respond to reactive repairs and fault finding
* Complete electrical compliance testing in line with JSP375 standards
* Undertake minor installation works within commercial and residential buildings
* Use digital tools/tablets to log work, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
* Participate in a 1 in 4 on-call rota
* Travel between RAF Croughton and Barford St Johns as required
* Maintain high standards of Health & Safety compliance at all times
* Liaise effectively with site personnel and internal teams
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:
* City & Guilds Parts 1 & 2 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
* 2391 Testing & Inspection qualification
* Proven experience in commercial electrical maintenance and repairs
* Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations
* Excellent communication skills and a professional approach
* A full UK driving licence
Desirable (but not essential)
* Experience as an Authorised Person (AP) or Authorising Engineer (AE)
* Knowledge of JSP375 and MOD environments
* PASMA and/or IPAF certification
* Experience with fixed wire inspections
