Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you'll be responsible for keeping customer equipment running safely and efficiently:
* Carry out on-site diagnostics, servicing, and repairs on Forklift and material-handling equipment
* Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and safety checks
* Identify and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
* Replace or repair faulty parts and components
* Complete service reports and maintain accurate documentation
* Provide technical guidance to customers on correct equipment use
* Ensure all work meets safety standards and manufacturer requirements
* Manage van stock, tools, and equipment effectively
* Respond to breakdown callouts and prioritise workloads
* Maintain a professional, customer-first approach on every visit
What we're looking for:
We're keen to speak with engineers who bring hands-on experience, including:
* Background working on forklifts, plant, agriculture, HGVs, or powered access
* Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
* A reliable, organised approach to mobile engineering work
* Confidence working independently across Ipswich, Suffolk
