Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated domiciliary carer (bank staff) to join our team. We are looking for part time carers who visit patients on particular times of the day. (timings to be confirmed). The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in home care settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow care plans while maintaining a high standard of care. A valid driving licence is essential.
Responsibilities
* Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility alongside critical clinical procedures
* Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each patient's needs with focus on the clinical risks
* Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
* Maintain accurate records of patient progress and any changes in condition.
* Drive patients to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety and comfort during transport.
* Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the overall quality of life for patients.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations while maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Experience
* Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is advantageous but not essential.
* Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping and communication is desirable.
* Strong communication skills in English are required to interact effectively with patients and team members.
* A willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges within the healthcare environment is essential.
