We are seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to lead our dairy free cheese production team. You will be responsible for ensuring that production schedules are completed to a high standard and in a timely manner, as well as ensuring compliance to health and safety and regulatory standards.
This is a hands-on management role where you will also be very involved in production, and requires someone who can build and motivate our team whilst ensuring exceptional standards. You must be highly organised and this role often involves thinking laterally. Our production process is unique and full training will be given.

Key Responsibilities
* Team Leadership & Management
* Lead, motivate and manage a team of 4-6 production staff
* Train new team members
* Create and maintain a positive, productive working environment
* Manage immediate staff performance issues and development
* Production Management
* Oversee all aspects of vegan cheese production from start to finish
* Ensure production goals are met efficiently and to specification
* Monitor and maintain product quality and consistency
* Work closely with Operations Manager to meet weekly production needs
* Food Safety & Compliance
* Maintain full responsibility for HACCP implementation and compliance within the kitchen
* Ensure all SALSA standards are met and documentation is complete
* Monitor Critical Control Points (CCPs) and maintain accurate records
* Lead on food safety training for all kitchen staff
* Oversee hygiene standards and cleaning protocols
* Operational Tasks
* Manage ingredient control, stock rotation and waste minimisation
* Maintain kitchen equipment
* Ensure accurate production logging and stock management
* Manage health and safety compliance in the kitchen environment
Essential Requirements
* Minimum 2 years management experience, preferably in food production/manufacturing but could be in another industry
* Proven track record of managing teams of 5+ people
* Food safety awareness
* Strong leadership and people management skills
* Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Highly Desirable
* Level 3 Food Safety qualification (or equivalent)
* HACCP Level 2 certification
* Experience in plant-based/vegan/fermented food production
* Previous experience in a scale-up/growing business environment
* Salary: Competitive depending on experience
