INTERNAL/EXTERNAL ADVERTISMENT

Lecturer in Mathematics (Ref. No. L749)

Full-Time/Permanent/Fraserburgh Campus

Salary: £41,833.00 - £50,359.00 per annum

We are seeking an enthusiastic person with a passion for teaching who is keen to pass on their knowledge to our students. The successful candidate will be educated to Degree level (or equivalent SCQF Level 9) in Mathematics.

The candidate should have an excellent working knowledge and skill set relevant to mathematics. Experience of teaching and motivating learners to succeed would be an advantage.

If you are a highly effective team player who has the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with students and colleagues we want you to come and join our team.

Experience of teaching is not essential but you will be contracted to obtain TQFE (Teaching Qualification in Further Education) once employment has commenced if you do not already hold a relevant teaching qualification.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

1. Working knowledge of Mathematics
2. Good communication skills

6. Ability to develop and use appropriate learning/teaching/training materials
7. Computer literate
8. * Knowledge and/or experience of the use of electronic learning materials

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

9. Degree or equivalent relevant professional qualification (SCQF Level 9) in Mathematics
10. Up to date experience in Mathematics
11. * Teaching or training experience
12. * Teaching qualification (TQFE or equivalent)
13. * Assessment experience
14. * Assessment qualification
15. * ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence)
16. * GTC registration

PERSONAL QUALITIES

17. Effective team player who actively assists others
18. Builds and maintains effective relationships with students and colleagues
19. Prioritises work effectively
20. Meets deadlines
21. Personally well-organised
