Human Resources Advisor (Public Sector)
VANRATH are delighted to be assisting a leading public sector organisation in the recruitment of a Human Resources Advisor to join their busy HR function in Antrim. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a well-established team, supporting people policies across a diverse workforce.
The Role
As a Human Resources Advisor, you'll play a key part in supporting HR Managers and Officers across a wide range of people-related activities, including:
1.
Providing clear, timely, and practical first-line HR advice to managers and employees
2.
Representing HR at departmental meetings and supporting managers with people management
3.
Participating in recruitment and selection processes as HR lead
4.
Preparing job adverts, job descriptions, contracts, and job evaluation documentation
5.
Coordinating sickness absence, occupational health referrals, and exit interviews
6.
Advising on employment terms, probation, severance, and policy interpretation
7.
Supporting the delivery of HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives
8.
Ensuring data accuracy across HR systems and compliance with data protection legislation
This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident managing a varied workload.
Essential Criteria
9.
CIPD Level 3 qualification (or willingness to work towards this if you can demonstrate 4+ years' relevant HR experience)
10.
Minimum 2 years' experience in a people-focused role with problem-solving responsibilities
11.
Experience dealing with internal/external queries, both in person and over the phone
12.
Minimum 1 year's experience preparing letters, reports, or HR documentation
13.
Strong organisational and digital skills, including the ability to prioritise independently
14.
High level of discretion, confidentiality, and interpersonal skills

A full, clean driving licence and access to transport (reasonable adjustments will be made if required due to a disability)
