New Directions Education is working with a welcoming primary school in Chester seeking an experienced and compassionate Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil in Year 2 with Autism. This full-time position begins in September 2025 and is expected to continue on a long-term basis.

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with Autism
* Implement individual learning strategies and assist with daily tasks
* Support emotional regulation and social interaction
* Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to track progress
* Promote a calm, inclusive and supportive learning space
Requirements:
* Proven experience working with pupils with SEN, particularly Autism
* Strong understanding of inclusive education practices
* Patience, empathy and excellent communication skills
* Full-time availability from September 2025
Job Specification
Teaching, Learning or Classroom Assistants are now vital resources for teachers and are heavily relied upon in schools.

* Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities
* Assist class teachers with maintaining student records
* Support students with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop their social skills.
