OutsideAZ require an experienced External Sponsored Research Manager within Oncology for an exciting hybrid role working in London.Overview/ Accountabilities• Accountable for Operational coordination and management for review, evaluation, initiation and conduct of Externally Sponsored Research (ESRs) studies in the UK including responsibility for ensuringpliance with relevant GxP requirements and regulations• Lead the project management of research projects ensuringpliance with project management guidelines, external regulations, and internal processes to enable the timely delivery of high quality ESRs.• Acts as the primary link, working with the Oncology Medical Team, between the Sponsor (Institute) and the AstraZeneca UK Oncology Business Unit.• Accountable for study status updates to management, research agreement negotiations, and study-related milestones payments.• Accountable for tracking to Publication in relation to ESRs• Generation of ESR metrics for OBU for ESR study active in UKEssential Skills
1. Previous ESR (Externally Sponsored Research) experience or clinical study management
2. Strong Project Management / Project Co- Ordination
3. Knowledge of clinical trials
4. Stakeholder management skills
5. Working knowledge of Databases and Systems eg – Veeva would be advantageous
6. Excellent written and verbalmunication skills, negotiation, collaboration and interpersonal skills.
7. Self-starter, able to prioritise own workload, work unsupervised and use own initiative to solve problems
8. Experience of working cross functionally/collaboratively both internally and externally
9. Able to perform effectively under pressure
10. Degree level Scientific / education or equivalent working experience
Desirable
11. Experience of working in a Medical Department of a sales & marketing organisation
12. Knowledge of UK Marketingpany Head Office structure and a network of contacts within thepany
13. Experience of supporting more than one manager & a large department and able to prioritise workload effectively
