The Role
As a Trainee Manager at Majestic Wine, you will support your Store Manager in driving sales and managing daily store operations. You will deliver exceptional customer experiences, optimize KPIs, and support your team to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support your Store Manager in daily operations and performance management.
* Drive sales and improve KPIs by identifying focus areas and implementing improvement plans.
* Provide outstanding customer service to foster loyalty and repeat business.
* Offer personalized service, including product updates and tastings, to enhance customer experience.
* Promote product knowledge through tastings and manage tasting events.
* Assist in recruiting, managing, and developing team members.
* Support team development and pass on product knowledge, including WSET qualifications.
* Maintain store appearance and ensure compliance with safety and legal standards.
* Identify operational improvements and implement them.
* Follow internal policies and complete mandatory training.
* Communicate store, regional, and business updates effectively.
Knowledge & Skills Required:
* Experience in a fast-paced retail or hospitality environment.
* Ability to deliver excellent customer service.
* Understanding of retail KPIs and how to improve them.
* Strategic problem-solving skills in high-pressure situations.
* Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent communication and time management skills.
* WSET Level 2 qualification is essential; willingness to pursue Level 3.
* Full UK/EU/EEA driving license for at least 12 months, with no more than 6 penalty points.
