Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP)
Belfast | Travel Across Northern Ireland
Public Sector | Employee Relations & Strategic HR
£21.98 per hour | Full-Time | Temporary Contract

Are you a confident HR professional with strong expertise in employee relations and policy development? We're working with a well-known public sector body to recruit an experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to deliver high-impact HR solutions across a diverse and mission-driven organisation.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take a lead advisory role, supporting senior management and influencing business outcomes in a highly respected public sector body.

Key Responsibilities:

* Partner with senior managers across departments to deliver proactive, solutions-focused HR advice
* Lead complex employee relations casework (grievance, discipline, dignity at work, attendance)
* Support organisational change, workforce planning, and well-being initiatives
* Develop and implement HR policies and contribute to HR project delivery
* Collaborate with Trade Unions and act as HR rep at hearings, investigations, and tribunals
* Produce reports, identify trends, and recommend HR interventions
* Support resourcing and learning activities aligned to business goals
* Represent the HR Manager/Senior HRBP and ensure service resilience across the team


Essential Criteria:

* CIPD Level 7 qualification (e.g. Postgraduate Diploma in HRM)
* Associate CIPD membership (or commitment to achieving this within 12 months)
* 3+ years' experience delivering HR advice on complex employee relations issues to senior management
* Significant expertise in at least four of the following areas:
* Attendance Management
* Grievance/Dignity at Work
* Disciplinary Cases
* HR Policy Development
* HR Project Delivery
* Strong working knowledge of employment law
* Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills
* Valid driving licence or access to suitable transport for NI-wide travel
Desirable:
o Chartered CIPD Member (MCIPD)
o Experience with mediation or dispute resolution
o Background in local government or public sector HR
o Experience working with trade unions
