Key duties and responsibilities
Street cleaning, litter picking, and emptying bins across public areas, parks, and city streets
Grounds maintenance including removing graffiti, clearing weeds, and basic landscaping tasks
Refuse and waste collection from public bins and busy areas
Cleaning and maintaining public toilets and car parks
Reporting fly-tipping, damaged signs, overflowing bins, and other hazards
Seasonal grounds support like hedge cutting, tree maintenance, and mechanical sweeping
What we're looking for
Full UK driving licence (essential)
Willingness to work outdoors in all weather
Strong work ethic, reliability, and a proactive, can-do attitude
Attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards
Comfortable working alone and as part of a team
Previous experience in cleaning, grounds maintenance, refuse collection, facilities, or similar outdoor work is an advantage but not essential
Working hours
Start early (between 05:00–07:00) and finish early (usually by 13:00–18:00)
5 days per week on a rota, including some weekend shifts
