Job Overview
We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented administrator and bookkeeper to join our team to cover maternity leave. This position requires a strong understanding of accounts using Xero software.
Duties
* Maintain accurate financial records using our accounting software Xero.
* Process accounts payable and assist with invoicing and payment tracking.
* Process staff salaries and additional hours using Xero
* Ensure all staff and volunteers submit timely receipts for expenses
* Support the preparation of financial reports and assist with budget management as needed.
* Handle correspondence, both written and verbal, ensuring timely communication withsuppliers, contractors and agencies, staff, volunteers, service users and the wider public
Experience
* Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within a finance or accounting environment.
* Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is essential.
* Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial record keeping.
* Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with colleagues and clients.
* Experience of working in the voluntary sector or a small dedicated team
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Contract length: 52 weeks
Pay: £13.00 per hour
