Role description:
•We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Infrastructure Architect with deep expertise/experience in landing Zone creation, cloud best practices, and industry frameworks to help review the design and implementation of an AWS set up for of a scalable, secure, and resilient data platform
Key responsibilities:
●Review the design and implementation of an AWS Landing Zones ensuring multi-account governance, security, and compliance.
●Review architecture and deployment of a cloud-native data platforms leveraging AWS services such as S3, Glue, Lake Formation, Redshift, Athena, and EMR.
●Review design for cloud infrastructure best practices, including IAM policies, network segmentation, logging, and monitoring.
●Align architecture with industry frameworks such as NIST, CIS, and Well-Architected Framework, ensuring regulatory compliance (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR).
●Future proof AWS environment design and set up for infrastructure automation efforts using Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK.
●Provide technical leadership and be part of the architectural governance forums.
●Conduct architecture reviews, risk assessments, and performance optimization for cloud workloads
Key skills/knowledge/experience:
•10+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure architecture, with at least 5 years on AWS.
•Proven experience in Landing Zone creation using AWS Control Tower or custom frameworks.
•Strong understanding of data platform architecture and data governance in utility sectors.
•Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or AWS CDK.
•Familiarity with utility industry standards and operational models (e.g., SCADA integration, asset management systems).
•Expertise in networking, security, and identity management in AWS.
•AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or equivalent certification preferred.
•Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
