What you’ll do:
• Use the full marketing mix, including social media and email marketing
• Develop and monitor digital advertising campaigns using Facebook and Amazon ads among others
• Create marketing campaigns for multiple books per week, including copy and visuals
• Create ad images and writing copy
• Budget strategy with a complete overview of ROI across our platforms/tools
• Monitor key competitor and market activity
• Develop creative strategies for how we can spend money effectively so we can sell even more books
What you’ll bring:
• Previous digital marketing experience, ideally in the publishing industry
• A keen interest in crime/genre fiction (this is a must)
• Previous experience of planning, implementing and measuring digital advertising campaigns
• Proven success with CPC ad campaigns (Facebook and Amazon ads would be good)
• Excellent copywriting and proofreading skills to create: press releases, ad copy, social media copy, awards submissions, etc.
• The ability to work autonomously at a fast pace and to a high standard
• Previous experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
• A strong eye for eye-catching graphic design and experience creating ads and/or videos
• Excellent InDesign skills and experience using tools such as Bookbrush to create high-quality assets
• The ability to communicate with authors, agents and fellow staff effectively and straightforwardly
• Proactive and resourceful with the ability to work independently
The role requires you to be a highly organised and creative individual with experience working in a similar role, and a passion for crime/genre fiction. We want to see evidence of campaigns and marketing assets you have created and worked on, particularly across social media. The ideal candidate will have excellent copywriting and proofreading skills, along with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
This full-time position is based at the Joffe Books office in Shoreditch, London, with a mixture of remote and office working. If this sounds exciting, we would love to hear from you!
