Salary: from £27,520 - £34,031 per annum dependent on experience

Location: Bradford / Hybrid Working (Typically two days in the office per week – Bradford; subject to change as required)

Work type: Permanent, full-time 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday


Role overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Administrator to join the Developer Services team at Yorkshire Water and be part of helping Yorkshire Water provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?

Yorkshire Water serves over 5.4 million people in the region and visitors, ensuring clean and safe drinking water and effective wastewater services. We look after communities, protect the environment, and plan for Yorkshire’s water today, tomorrow, 24/7, 365 days a year. New environmental legislation and changing expectations create opportunities within the water industry.

The Developer Services team provides reliable and helpful service to property developers and domestic/commercial customers. You will join an open and informative team committed to high service levels.


Where you fit in

You will provide customers with high-quality initial technical advice related to clean water matters and support while maintaining the integrity of Yorkshire Water assets and complying with guidelines and regulations. You will enable quick initial technical applications so that a quote can be provided within service level agreements for the Connections Technicians.


Responsibilities

* Review all types of clean water applications to ensure required information is gathered
* Monitor suspense account to locate any application fee payments
* Respond to written and telephone enquiries from external customers in line with regulated service standards
* Accurately update regulatory records (Water UK submission spreadsheets) promptly
* Process checklists and raise all appropriate jobs for the Service Delivery Partner within SLAs
* Raise remedial work orders to the Delivery Team when issues are identified with previous work
* Accurately process lead and disconnection job packs through to customers using Yorbill and surveyor feedback
* Manage allocated work streams to prioritise SLAs and meet Water UK targets
* Complete all work items within SLAs to meet Water UK targets
* Produce accurate and relevant management information when required


Required skills and experience

* Experience/knowledge of Developer Services clean water operations is preferred
* Appreciation of the technical knowledge required for clean water networks
* Flexible and resilient to adapt to continuous change
* Strong customer service skills and experience handling customer queries
* Ability to interpret customer requirements and gather all necessary information
* Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders and work across the business
* Good influencing and negotiating skills; able to manage a varied workload with tight timescales
* Excellent customer service with empathy for customers
* Strong numeracy and data manipulation skills
* Excellent IT skills; experience with Yorkshire Water systems (ICE, Odyssey, SAP, Yorbill, Lotus Notes, Survey Feedback Repository) is helpful, with full training provided; strong Excel/Word/SharePoint skills are essential
