To deliver customers’ products to the required premises ensuring all customers receive exceptional customer service as part of a multi-drop delivery route. The driver will ensure that all products are transported safely to the customers’ premises, treating their freight as if it were their own.
Key responsibilities
* Represent DX in a professional manner at all times
* Drive vehicles in a safe and legal manner ensuring compliance with all legal and company requirements at all times
* Undertake all daily checks, report defects immediately, and complete correct paperwork
* Ensure all products are scanned using DX scanning equipment
* Load deliveries safely prior to leaving the depot
* Observe DX procedures and policies at all times
* Manage routing to ensure premium and timed deliveries are achieved
* Use and maintain equipment and PPE properly
* Report delivery and on-road issues to the traffic office immediately
* Deliver products in excellent condition every time
* Handle customer issues politely and effectively
* Make collections as instructed and on time
* Hold C1 or above on license with valid DQC and Tacho card
* Have a maximum of 6 points on license and no bans
* Take pride in delivering exceptional customer service
* Build rapport with customers
