In these roles you won’t just witness this transformation — you’ll facilitate it, you will be an integral part of our UK team shaping the future of the water industry by delivering high‑value, complex, innovative and sustainable solutions that protect resources and build resilience. From feasibility and planning to advanced design, construction, and commissioning, you will play a critical role in projects such as pumping stations, treatment plants, and associated CAPEX assets, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
With multiple roles available across all levels, as part of a UK‑wide team recognised for delivering world‑class solutions, you will contribute to or lead electrical engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle—from concept and detailed design through to commissioning, collaborating with multi‑disciplinary teams, JV partners and clients to achieve outstanding results.
Your remit will include:
* Deliver Electrical Engineering Excellence: Contribute to or lead electrical engineering elements of multidisciplinary projects from concept through completion. Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to identify requirements and deliver solutions that meet contract‑specific KPIs and milestones.
* Design & Specification: Develop and produce detailed electrical detail designs, drawings, and specifications for water sector projects such as pumping stations, treatment plants, and distribution networks.
* Quality & Safety: Embed constructability and commissioning requirements into designs, ensuring technical delivery complies with regulatory and safety standards.
* Governance and Compliance: Ensure all design solutions meet relevant standards, codes, and client specifications.
* Collaboration: Support design managers, project engineering, site installation and commissioning teams throughout the project lifecycle.
* Technical Analysis: Investigate and analyse existing assets, identifying opportunities for improvements such as reliability, performance, maintainability, health and safety, and perform complex calculations as required.
* Innovation & Add Value: Participate in and contribute to value engineering and buildability workshops, delivering sustainable and innovative design solutions for water infrastructure.
* Project Management: Depending on experience, contribute to design management, scheduling, risk management, change control, and financial forecasting.
* Team & Culture: Foster a culture of knowledge sharing, innovation, mentoring and professional growth within the electrical discipline.
Here’s what you’ll need:
* Professional Membership: Working toward or holding chartered status (e.g., IEEE or equivalent).
* Experience: Demonstrable progressive experience in the delivery of detailed design and Design & Build solutions for water, wastewater, and bioresources projects.
* Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding and knowledge of electrical engineering principles, project lifecycle from concept through to commissioning and operations.
* Design Tools: Proficient with CAD and electrical design packages, AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, SKM, etc.
* Commercial Awareness: Understanding of project budgets, change and cost control.
