We are working with a forward-thinking law firm seeking to appoint a Knowledge Director to lead and evolve its knowledge management strategy. This is a central, firm-wide role – not tied to any specific practice area – and offers a unique opportunity to shape how knowledge, innovation, and technology intersect across the business.
Your new role
1. Lead the firm’s knowledge management function, working closely with PSLs across specialist business units to identify needs and align them with risk and IT strategies.
2. Manage relationships and contracts with external providers.
3. Quickly develop a deep understanding of the firm’s existing tech stack, including AI and innovation tools, and identify opportunities for enhancement.
4. Oversee precedents, business processes, and knowledge systems to drive efficiency and consistency.
5. Collaborate with Risk, IT, and other internal stakeholders to ensure knowledge initiatives support broader business goals.
6. Act as a visible and strategic leader, championing knowledge sharing and innovation across the firm.
What you'll need to succeed
7. A senior knowledge professional and experienced lawyer mercial, corporate, litigation, data protection backgrounds all considered) with a strong understanding of knowledge management in a legal environment.
8. Technically skilled,mercially minded, andfortable engaging with senior stakeholders.
9. Proven ability to lead change, manageplex projects, and implement strategic initiatives.
10. Familiarity with GenAI, legal tech, and innovation tools is highly desirable.
