Overview
We are seeking dedicated and experienced Assistant Managers to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the hospitality industry, particularly within restaurants or hotels, and will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of our establishment. This role requires excellent leadership skills, a passion for food and service, and the ability to manage a team effectively.
Duties
* Assist in overseeing daily operations to ensure high standards of food preparation and service.
* Supervise kitchen staff and front-of-house team members, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in all areas of the establishment.
* Participate in food production and preparation, utilising culinary skills to enhance menu offerings.
* Train new staff on operational procedures, food safety practices, and customer service excellence.
* Manage inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
* Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring satisfaction at all times.
* Support the Manager in implementing strategies to improve service quality and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality sector, preferably in restaurants or hotels.
* Strong culinary skills with experience in food preparation and cooking.
* Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food production.
* Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on team management and development.
* Previous experience as a barista or in similar roles is advantageous.
* Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with staff and customers alike.
