Overview
Job Advert - Electrical CAD Engineer (Instrumentation & Controls) – Location: Peterborough / Rutland area (commutable across South Lincolnshire, Rutland, North Cambridgeshire e.g., Cambridge, Huntingdon, Stamford, Grantham, etc.). Salary & Benefits: Competitive salary £50,000 - £55,000 (DOE); Pension, Healthcare, Life Insurance, Critical Illness Cover, 27 days annual leave + Bank Holidays, Annual Bonus, Christmas Bonus.
Responsibilities
* Creating P&IDs and detailed wiring drawings using AutoCAD & AutoCAD Electrical
* Producing Bills of Materials (BOMs) in close partnership with a senior Controls Engineer
* Supporting instrument and controls engineering, enabling critical equipment design in industries like petrochemical, LNG, power, waste-to-energy, and more
Qualifications
* Proficient experience with AutoCAD & AutoCAD Electrical (schematic, wiring, P&ID creation)
* Strong ability to generate and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs)
* Excellent communication skills and a proactive, ambition-driven mindset
