As a Smart Meter Electrician, you’ll visit homes and businesses to carry out smart meter installations, maintenance, and testing. This is a customer-facing role, requiring a balance of technical expertise and people skills.
You’ll also act as a role model in the field – supporting less experienced engineers, identifying areas for improvement, and helping to deliver technical excellence daily.
Our client actively supports professional development, including internal and external accredited courses, upskilling (qualifications for new technologies), study support, E-Learning, and internal promotion.
What You’ll Be Doing:
1. Installing and maintaining smart electric meters
2. Carrying out communication testing on metering systems and data loggers
3. Managing stock, tools, and vehicle in line with company standards
4. Working closely with the delivery support team to ensure job efficiency
What We’re Looking For:
1. Electrical competence certification or qualifications (required)
2. Experience in smart meter installation (desirable)
3. Strong technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
4. A full UK driving licence
