Family Hubs are part of Kent County Council's offer to support children, young people aged 0-19 (25 SEND), and their families.
Our local Family Hubs provide a broad range of early help services, including midwifery, health visiting, parenting support, and activities for children and young people.
We have 56 Family Hubs across Kent, operating alongside partners to support local communities.
We are seeking a versatile Business Support Assistant to support Family Hubs in South Kent. If you enjoy travelling and working in various settings, this role is ideal for you.
The role requires flexibility to work across South Kent's geographical area, often on short notice, to cover leave and absences. You will work both in your contractual base and in other locations, with travel reimbursed at 45p per mile.
Your responsibilities include supporting busy family hubs by greeting, welcoming, and signposting families, and working with visitors, teams, and professionals across South Kent.
You will provide professional support to Family Hub Workers, requiring a calm, organized approach and excellent communication skills. You must proactively manage your workload, respond to urgent requests, and support health and safety processes, including reporting building faults.
Administrative experience and familiarity with IT packages like Microsoft Office are essential. You will handle sensitive information, record data, and liaise with colleagues to arrange meetings.

Additional information:
This position requires an Enhanced Disclosure via DBS. The interview process includes a panel interview and written test.
The role is customer-facing, and compliance with the Immigration Act (2016) is required, including command of spoken English/Welsh.
Ability to travel across South Kent flexibly and timely is essential.
