Our client is seeking an experienced Service Manager to join their expanding team and business in the York (north yorkshire area)
For this role you will be:
7. Guide, mentor, and develop a high-performing service team to deliver outstanding customer service while achieving set goals.
8. Effectively manage resources to maximize workshop efficiency and ensure timely completion of tasks.
9. Supervise booking schedules to maintain proper workshop allocation and ensure efficient time management.
10. Drive revenue growth by promoting additional services and products to customers.
11. Analyze financial goals and performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and addressing any concerns with the Head of Business as needed.
12. Respond to customer complaints swiftly and professionally, ensuring fair resolutions and taking corrective actions to prevent future issues.
13. Promote a team culture that values high performance, accountability, and excellence.
For this role you will need:
14. Demonstrated success in a Service Manager role within the automotive sector.
15. Proven track record of guiding, mentoring, and building high-performing teams to surpass objectives.
16. A customer-focused mindset with the capability to foster a culture of ongoing improvement.
17. Comprehensive understanding of industry standards and core service processes in the automotive field.
18. Outstanding leadership abilities, capable of inspiring and motivating teams to achieve goals.
19. Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written.
20. A keen eye for detail and a strong dedication to maintaining top-notch service quality.
21. Possession of a valid driving license with no major infractions.
22. Prior experience managing an automotive service department or aftersales operation is a must.
