About the role
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to join Barnes Farm Primary School? We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to support a pupil on a 1-to-1 basis and work with small groups within the classroom. The role is for 17.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:45 am - 12:15 pm. This is a fixed-term contract ending on 31st August 2029. You will be part of a supportive team, working closely with teachers and the SENCO to enhance learning in line with the National Curriculum.
Candidate requirements
* Experience supporting children in a school setting
* Strong behaviour management skills
* Ability to support medical and intimate care needs
* Knowledge of strategies to engage pupils with significant needs
* Patience, calmness, and flexibility
* Commitment to high achievement
* Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
* Good education standards: Maths and English GCSE grades A-C or equivalent, ICT knowledge
* Flexibility, good humour, and initiative
* Willingness to undertake training and support individual needs
