Duties for the HGV Technician role involve:
9. Repairing and maintaining a fleet of approximately 20 trucks, mainly Renault.
10. Diagnosing faults on HGVs and trailers, focusing on fixing rather than replacing parts.
11. Working within a well-equipped workshop with modern amenities
12. Servicing, routine maintenance, and fault rectification.
13. Providing support during occasional Saturday mornings for fleet cover
14. Maintaining tools and equipment shared across the team
Requirements for the HGV Technician position:
15. Ideally fully qualified HGV technician with a Class 1 licence
16. Newly qualified or learning Technicians with the right attitude will also be considered
17. Experience working with heavy goods vehicles and trailers
18. Knowledge of diagnostic procedures and repairs
19. Full UK driving licence, ideally Class 1
20. Good attitude, loyalty, and team player mentality are essential
21. IRTEC certification and VOSA Etech training advantageous, but not mandatory.
22. Time-served technicians are encouraged to apply, with NVQ Level 3 not strictly necessary
23. Own tools desired; communal tools provided and to be maintained
