Responsibilities
* Take responsibility for the well-being of Residents, including ensuring their physical, emotional and social needs are met.
* Lead, motivate and mentor the team and provide clinical guidance and training to ensure the safe, smooth and efficient running of the care home.
* Carry out assessments, develop, implement and evaluate individualised care plans for Residents.
* Monitor work areas and practices to ensure they are safe and conform to relevant standards, policies and legislation.
* Promote Residents’ independence, choice, dignity and respect by delivering high standards of care and pursuing continuous improvement.
* Provide leadership for on-site staff, champion Resident wellbeing, establish a vision and development plan for the home, and conduct quality assurance monitoring.
Qualifications
* Care home experienced Registered Nurse with current PIN on the NMC register.
* Either Registered Managers Award Level 4, or Leadership and Management in Care Level 4/5, or willingness to study for one.
* Leadership experience with multidisciplinary teams and conducting risk assessments.
* Strong communication, kindness and empathy in interactions with Residents and colleagues.
Safeguarding
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. Attending safeguarding training and knowing how to recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect, with the ability to seek appropriate advice and report concerns.
