Your new roleYou will join as an Operations Accountant on a fixed-term contract until February 2027, based at the Belfast site. In this role, you’ll manage all aspects of pricing and costing, including tenders, preparation and updates of standard costs, SKU-level profitability analysis, stock valuations for month and year-end, and other month-end and ad hoc tasks.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Creating cost estimates for new and existing products.
2. Liaising with production, purchasing, R&D, and planning teams to gather data.
3. Monitoring material costs and revising estimates as needed.
4. Reviewing profitability of SKUs and investigating variances.
5. Managing standard costs and uploading to BI tools.
6. Preparing monthly reports for P&L, finished goods, and WIP.
7. Supporting annual budgeting and regulatory reporting.
What you'll need to succeed
8. Relevant experience in costing and pricing models, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
9. Strong Excel skills for managing and analyzing large datasets.
10. Experience with month-end processes.
11. Minimum of 5 GCSEs including English and Maths (Grade C or above).
12. Excellent organizational, analytical, andmunication skills.
13. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
14. Desirable: Part-qualified accountant.
