Senior Power Systems Engineer - High Voltage (HV)Location: Flexible - Any UK Office

We’re working with a leading consultancy that’s expanding its High Voltage (HV) team and is looking for a Senior Power Systems Engineer to join their growing infrastructure and data centre division. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering complex, mission-critical projects across the UK and Europe.

The Role:
This role focuses on the analysis and design of HV, MV, and LV distribution systems for infrastructure, data centre, and other mission-critical projects. Responsibilities include:
* Delivering design calculations for electrical loads, generator sizing, UPS systems, utility connections, renewable tech integration, and earthing systems
* Producing high-quality design outputs including specifications, schematics, and schedules
* Conducting studies including load flow, fault level, harmonic (G5/5), protection coordination, arc flash, and earthing touch/potential analysis
* Supporting design of substations and HV/LV points of connection
* Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and coordinated project delivery
* Managing elements of commercial project oversight including invoicing and workload/resource planning
* Mentoring junior engineers, apprentices, and graduates as part of a culture of growth and development
About You:
We’reseeking a technically strong and delivery-focused engineer with a deep understanding of electrical power systems and a passion for innovation. You should bring:
* Experience in HV design and power systems engineering on complex projects
* Familiarity with software such as ETAP, Amtech, Revit, CAD Electrical, and BIM tools
* Strong knowledge of substation design, earthing, CT and arc flash calculations, and protection systems
* Capability in advanced power quality and network analysis including G99/G5/5, load flow, and fault studies
* Competence in producing reports, specifications, schematics, and inspection outputs
* An analytical approach with excellent problem-solving skills
* Experience supporting and mentoring junior team members
* A collaborative, proactive mindset and a genuine enthusiasm for engineering excellence
